Mit dem neuen iOS 7 will sich Apple am Smartphone-Markt behaupten. Die Sprachassistentin Siri wird im Zuge der Neugestaltung des mobilen Betriebssystems iOS von Google auf Microsofts Bing als Quelle für die Internet-Suchergebnisse umgestellt. Das wurde auf Apples Entwicklerkonferenz WWDC 13 bekannt gegeben.
Das Sprachsteuerungsprogramm Siri ist Teil des iOS Betriebssystem und steht allen iPhones ab der Version 4S und iPads ab Version 3 zur Verfügung. Siri durchsucht per Sprachanweisung zukünftig das Web nicht mehr automatisch über Google, sondern über die Suchmaschine Bing von Microsoft. Die ersten Resultate der Nutzung von Bing für Siri sollen im Herbst bei der Einführung von iOS 7 auf den Apple-Smartphones, -Tablets und iPods zu sehen sein.
